THE DARKNESS: JOYRIDE

A high-speed supernatural crime story written by Rob Pilkington, illustrated by Farid Karami, and colored by Ellie Wright.

Set in 1997 New York City, the story follows homicide detective Danica Royce as a routine pursuit of Jackie Estacado spirals into something impossible: demonic motorcycles, airborne monsters, Darklings behind the wheel of a stolen Porsche, and a crash scene straight out of a nightmare.

What starts as gritty street-level crime noir quickly mutates into pure Darkness insanity, blending mob violence, supernatural horror, and pitch-black comedy. The story perfectly captures Jackie Estacado’s dangerous charisma while showing the Darklings at their most chaotic and hilarious.
